3P1.5-6x42IR and 3P2.5-10x56IR both have an
illuminated dot in the centre of the standard Plex reticle to assist when
shooting in low light or with a spotlight. The dot is illuminated in green,
which contrasts sharply when used with a red-filtered spotlight, for hunting in
total darkness. The dot can be set to one of ten brightness settings or
switched off for normal daytime use.
Both these strong one-piece satin black 30mm maintube scopes have generous
windage and elevation adjustment range, and European style fast-focus
eyepieces. The 2.5-10x56mm version has a parallax adjustment wheel on the
saddle to compensate for parallax from 20 metres to infinity.
Tool-less windage and elevation zeroing is achieved by a new push-lock
system, and the finger-adjustable controls are graduated in 1/4 MOA clicks.
Lynx 3P2.5-10x56IR is suitable for use in bushveld from about 25 metres, and
for long range shots up to about 500 metres. Lynx 3P1.5-6x42IR is good for
bushveld use from about 15 metres, and for medium range shots up to about 300
metres. The 1.5-6x is also suitable for dangerous game hunting at low
magnification.
