Graticule options

This page lists all the reticle patterns available in Lynx riflescopes.  Not all reticles can be fitted to all scopes, so be sure to check the descriptions of each riflescope for individual availability.

(A) Plex

Standard in all Lynx riflescopes unless otherwise stated.
The “Plex” reticle is fitted as standard to most Lynx riflescopes. It gives the hunter elementary range-finding capability by representing 15 or 30 inches at 100 yards at 4x magnification across the thin centre section. A list of shoulder heights for 12 game animals and conversion tables for magnification other than 4x is available for download from this site.

iPlex

Standard in Lynx LX2 non-military illuminated reticle riflescopes. iPlex is a Plex reticle with a pinprick sized illuminated aim point at the centre intersection of the reticle.

This reticle cannot be fitted to anything except illuminated LX2 model riflescopes.

(B) NATO RF

Can be fitted to any Lynx Professional "P" riflescope.  The NATO ranging reticle is calibrated for use on human targets but hunters can work out their own methods for ranging game animals.

(C) MIL DOT

Can be fitted to most Lynx riflescopes.  Calibrated in mil-dots for ranging purposes.

Mil dot spacings are available in 10x, 12, 16x and 24x sizes, depending on the scope model.

(D) Fine Cros Hair

Can be fitted to most Lynx riflescopes.  Best suited to target shooters who require very fine aiming reference.  Not suitable for hunting.

(E) Fine Cross with Dot

Can be fitted to most Lynx riflescopes.  Best suited to target shooters who require very fine aiming reference.  Not suitable for hunting.

(F) Mil Step

Can be fitted to any LX or LX2 model riflescope.  Reticle style that satisfies the needs of both hunters and target shooters in addition to presenting the shooter with a clean and accurate range-finding sight-picture.  Reticle lines step down in thickness at 1 MIL increments at 24x.

(G) Hold-Over

Can be fitted to any LX or LX2 model riflescope.  Nine hold-over aiming points below the centre cross provide an accurate means of compensating for bullet drop over 100 to 400 metres without touching the scope. The diamond-shaped aiming points are small and unobtrusive, presenting an uncluttered sight-picture that does not confuse the eye.
