Lynx maintains a full service centre on the
premises staffed with factory trained technicians.
Unless individually and explicitly specified Lynx
products have the following warranty periods:
Lynx Professional Riflescopes
Lynx professional series riflescopes have a lifetime
warranty.
Lynx Riflescopes (excluding professional models)
Other Lynx riflescopes have a warranty period of 15
years effective from the date of purchase of the
scope.
Lynx Series-44 and Series-46 Binoculars
Lynx Series-44 and Series-46 binoculars have a
lifetime warranty.
All Other Lynx Products
All other Lynx products have a warranty period of 5
years effective from date of purchase.
Lynx Electronics Components
All electronic components incorporated into Lynx
products, such as illuminated reticle riflescopes
and red-dot scopes, carry a five year warranty from
date of purchase.
Lynx products are warranted against original defects in
material and/or workmanship provided that the unit has not been
abused, taken apart or tampered with in any way whatsoever. The
warranty is limited to the original purchaser and is not
transferable. The warranty only applies to products purchased in
South Africa. Should it become necessary to repair your Lynx
product, package the unit carefully and return it to:
The Lynx Service Centre, PO Box 98078, Sloane Park 2152,
South Africa.
Include your name, address and telephone number and a note
with a full and accurate description of your problem. In the
event that the repair is not covered by warranty an estimate
will be sent for your approval. Lynx shall not be held liable
for any consequential, incidental or contingent damage
whatsoever.
Repair or replace?
Our factory trained technicians are capable of repairing
all our distributed products. Lynx will, at its discretion,
repair or replace any product that is found to be
defective.
After after sales service.
Work on non-warranty repairs is guaranteed for 3
months. Repairs done under warranty do not affect the
original warranty period.
Is it really defective?
The workshop is equipped with instruments capable of
determining if a product
is operating to original factory specifications.
Who pays for what?
In the event that the defect originates with factory
workmanship or materials, and provided that the product was
purchased within the prescribed warranty period, Lynx will
conduct the repair or replacement at no charge. Carriage to
Lynx will be borne by the customer, return carriage via
regular postal service will be borne by Lynx.
